The couple saved the kitten's life, and it turned out to be a wonderful pet with a big heart

Former shelter kitten bounces back with the help of kind spouses and becomes the most loving of pets.

A few weeks ago, animal rights activists at Little Wanderers NYC became aware of a tiny kitten at an animal shelter that was in dire need of help. This kitten, a girl, ended up at a city shelter with injuries when she was about six weeks old.

A baby named Dijon was sick, she needed intensive care.

“We have asked for help from friends and zoo staff for her. She didn’t eat alone and didn’t really walk. We knew we had to save them,” said animal rights activists from Little Wanderers NYC.

Almost immediately, Tyrone and Megan, willing spouses, began helping. They adopted the kitten from the shelter just in time to begin the treatment process in a comfortable family environment.

“The shelter worker who handled the admission cited a traffic accident as the cause of the injury,” animal rights activists at Little Wanderers NYC said. The good news is that nothing irreparable happened.

Only soft tissues are damaged. This means that with proper care and medication, our dear student will recover.”

The friendly couple showered Dijon with kisses and caresses. Agility was gradually returning to her, and she was constantly asking for holds insistently. The girl would cuddle her father when she fell asleep or crawl on top of him, demanding attention.

After staying there for two weeks, she suddenly fell ill and was taken to the emergency room with weakness and a high fever. Turns out she had calcivirus. Prescribed medications and supportive care.

In the care of the veterinary team, Dijon lightened and began to purr as if thanking them for their help.

“She was brave and wanted to live.”

Thanks to the quick action of her adoptive parents, Dijon was able to escape and returned home after being hospitalized for several days. She wiped the whole pope with her muzzle – she missed them so much!

“Good care, medication and love have worked well. Dijon had a few bad days but has been on the upswing since, write Little Wanderers NYC.

The little unruly kitten returned to a prosperous life with the Wardens, and eventually the worst was left behind.

“She certainly fits in a (very big) palm tree, but she’s a fighter,” say Dijon’s guards.

They believed that one day there would be suitable people who would take this worthy girl, give her the life of a princess and fulfill all her dreams.

Dijon has touched many hearts throughout its history. One of those hearts belonged to Melissa from New Jersey, the owner of a cat and a cat.

Melissa fell in love with the little heroine. She contacted Little Wanderers NYC and proved to be the perfect candidate.

The girl, renamed Tinka, will now continue her story at home.

“She’s the sweetheart, purred the whole ride home in the car. Her new brother and sister are extremely mesmerized by her looks,” says Melissa.

Tinka spent the whole first day in her mother’s arms. Before going to bed she wanted to be wrapped up like a baby. After dinner, she leaned right back into the blanket in Melissa’s arms.

Paisley and Finley, her new siblings, came over to say hello and sniff.

They are very fascinated by the new neighbor and spent a lot of time looking at her and getting to know her better.

The teenager enjoys the VIP life and has already taken to following his mother around the house like she’s glued to it. Melissa has found her to be a new office assistant who won’t rest until he’s reviewed all of her work.

The cute kitty is getting more energetic by the day and keeps her purr motor on all the time.

As a child, she was given a chance and took it to the fullest. Tinka has grown into a loving pet with a big loving heart.
